Angela Lassig, author of New Zealand Fashion Design, looks over the last 30 years of New Zealand fashion, including big names like Marilyn Sainty and Zambesi's Elizabeth Findlay.
Lecture. Angela Lassig, formerly Senior History Curator at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa and the author of the 2010 landmark book New Zealand Fashion Design, will encapsulate developments in the fast-moving field of New Zealand fashion over the last 30 years. The work of fashion veterans like Marilyn Sainty and Zambesi’s Elizabeth Findlay will be examined along with shared insights into designers’ work methods, design philosophy and inspiration.
