1978. He quietly observed the frail woman as she struggled to survive and care for her middle-aged schizophrenic son Nik
The story haunted Ward and 30 years later he re-visited it in the critically acclaimed movie Rain of the Children. New Zealand Film Commission, 45 minutes.
