Visitors can now explore the Bath House Building from basement to rooftop! The Bath House Viewing Platform is now open to the public after being closed for over 70 years.
Re-opened in 2006, it is believed the original platform was removed from the Bath House building following the Napier Earthquake in 1931.
After ascending the stairs through the attic space visitors are rewarded with panoramic views of the City, Government Gardens, Lake Rotorua and Sulphur Bay.
The Attic space of the building gives visitors an insight into the construction, lighting and ventilation techniques used in the Bath House. Access to the platform is included in admission to the museum.
The Viewing Platform is available for hire for exclusive functions.
