Rotorua Museum is a non smoking venue. There are also restrictions on food, drink, photography and large backpacks within the museum building.

Rotorua Museum has a well stocked gift shop featuring a wide range of New Zealand crafts, cards, music and books on local history and culture, as well as a selection of New Zealand children’s books.
