Top Art 2024 Student Art Portfolios

Until: Wednesday, 8 May 2024
Venue: Rotorua LIbrary, Te Aka Mauri. Level 2

Time: Library opening hour

Top Art is an annual touring exhibition featuring some of New Zealand's top secondary school Visual Art portfolios, toured by New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA).

Hosted by Rotorua Museum, this great showcase of New Zealand’s talented youth will be open to the public at Rotorua Library, Te Aka Mauri (Level two) from Wednesday 24 April until Wednesday 8 May 2024 (please note the Library is closed on ANZAC Day - 25 April, and Sundays).

This year in the display we have the photography portfolio of a Rotorua student from John Paul College, Andy Williams.

Top Art provides an opportunity for students and teachers to see the high standard of art produced in schools and gain an understanding of what is required to achieve Excellence or Scholarship in Visual Art at NCEA Level 3.

The showcase exhibits portfolios of following art mediums: photography, painting, design, printmaking and sculpture. Each year there are also some portfolios displayed digitally.

It is also a great opportunity for members of the public to see the high quality of art being created in schools.

Rotorua Museum Education team is accepting school bookings to view Top Art 2024. Please contact kristina.joyce@rotorualc.nz or phone 07 351 7835.

The exhibition is available to view during Library opening hours, except when closed by appointment for school groups.
