Shaken but not stirred...the Museum doors may be closed however we're offering free outside the walls tours that take in the stunning and historic Government Gardens
Rotorua Museum is fortunate to be housed in an area rich in history. In the spirit of turning a misfortune into an opportunity, Rotorua Museum is offering free ‘outside the walls’ guided tours.
Take in the Museum grounds, learn some of the interesting history of battles, buildings and the Government Gardens which were transformed from a wilderness of scrub, hot pools and geysers into an oasis of Victorian charm.
Participants are advised to bring good walking shoes, a hat, sunscreen and water. Tours depart from Government Gardens, in front of the Museum at 11am and 2pm, daily with an additional timeslot on Wednesday at 12pm.
