New Technology Programmes
The closure of Rotorua Museum, as earthquake strengthening is carried out, has opened new opportunities for our education team, including the use of the new Makerspace and iMac Computer Suite at the Rotorua Library Te Aka Mauri.
We are pleased to offer new and exciting programmes using technology such as Cubelets, M-bots and more. Details can be found here under the technology tab.

Schools are able to book in for fun, engaging programmes aligned to the new technology curriculum.
Programmes typically run from one to one and a half hours and are lead by one of our education team. Full lesson outlines, RAMS and handy hints on visiting the library are included.
Designed to occupy 450m2 on the second floor of Te Aka Mauri, this dedicated space is planned to be the epicentre for prototyping, entrepreneurship and leading learning that takes our community forward towards a prosperous future and where young people will find encouragement for creativity and innovation.
The Makerspace has been made possible thanks to our Founding Resource Funder BayTrust and our Programmes Partner Unison.
iMac Computer Suite
This suite enables us to provide more programmes and an increased and improved range of technology and creative software.
The Computer Suite has been made possible thanks to our Founding Resource Funder BayTrust and our Programmes Partner Tompkins Wake.
