Te Whare Taonga o Te Arawa

The iconic Bath House building, previously home to Rotorua Museum, is a significant building for our community and country. In 2016 damage from the Kaikōura earthquake meant the building needed to be closed. Extensive building and ground investigation has been carried out and detailed design completed.

Construction on our beloved building began in June 2024. Works are expected to be complete between 2027 and 2028. For more information on this project click here
