Rotorua Museum is pleased to announce the return of the biennial Art Awards for 2017. The volunteers that provide free ‘outside-the-walls’ guided tours of Government Gardens have just won the Supreme Award at the 2017 Trustpower Rotorua Lakes Community Awards! Our new blog started in May and will explore a wide range of topics from Pacific Island Language Weeks to Tarawera sausages and much more. What’s on with Rotorua Museum: May – June 2017

The building that houses Rotorua Museum remains closed following earthquake damage and we are currently awaiting a final seismic assessment. In the meantime, we are continuing to host daily tours, as well as events, exhibitions and education programmes in various locations around Rotorua. Top Art and Muka Prints are two great youth focussed exhibitions on in May and we start Matariki celebrations with a range of events in June.
